The Story of Good Hope

   Under the leadership of  Dr. C.V. Owens Sr, Good Hope started as a tiny seed in the beginning with a huge future before us. We were planted and organized in 2006 with 10 members, meetings were held in homes until January 7, 2007, and we started growing and moved our services to t the Double Tree Hotel at 2600 York Mount Road, Charlotte, NC We were not focused on what we didn't have, but what we planned to harvest in  this place.  On June 3, 2007, we moved into to our current location on 2800 Tuckaseegee Rd. We believe in our hearts that Good Hope is a living collection of seeds. Our seeds are our gifts and our talents that God has provided   for us to sow into the lives of others around us. We deeply believe as seeds we are to be planted in the lives of God's people by telling them about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because it is our responsibility to introduce Him be telling them that He loves them so much so that He gave His only Son to pay our  sin debt, and all we have to do is receive what He's done.   

  At Good Hope our motto is: "We're Moving In A New Direction, With Our Lord And Savior (Jesus Christ) Leading The Way". In August of 2015, Rev.  Orstell L. Barnett was called to the Pastorate and to assume the leadership of Good Hope where he would become the second Pastor of the congregation.  Pastor Barnett began his tenure in September of 2015. Although we have reached an important milestone, we know that our work has really just begun.
